We have a strong wifi connection. ‘Camellia’ is a safe and secure location during these days to “work from home” in the midst of nature, away from all the noise and pollution of a city- a solution to being cramped up in an apartment.
Camellia is a villa owned by Prema and Dharmaraj in the midst of their coffee and spice estate in Wayanad- a 15 minute drive from Kalpetta town . The villa is situated on top of a hill, with a private road leading up to it . The villa boasts a panoramic view of the Chembra peak, "one of the highest Peak in South India", view from the top terrace in particular, of the expanse of coffee and tea plantations set against the backdrop of Chembra is breath-taking.
The tastefully decorated villa has 2 bed rooms, with attached wash rooms and a private balcony, a large comfortable drawing room with a cosy fire place, a study area, a dining room ( with an attached wash room ) and an open courtyard.
Dharmaraj is a professional tea planter and the couple have lived in tea plantation bungalows for over 2 decades and bring with them a great heritage in housekeeping and hospitality. They reside in Fort Cochin presently and are offering this property as a serviced villa and have authorised sajan, a resident of wayanad and an Airbnb host to manage the serviced villa. Sajan will be there to welcome the guests and attend to all the needs of the guests including arranging local sightseeing.
Prema , an avid gardener, maintains a beautiful and varied garden.
The estate also grows vegetables, coconut, arecanut, oranges, avocado, mangosteen, Rambuttan, Jack fruit, lime and also has copious sources of water from wells.
An ideal place for those looking to unwind in the midst of a salubrious environment while enjoying caring hospitality and comfort.
Pathrose an experienced chef and Krishnan the caretaker are available to the guests round the clock.
Tariff:
Single/Double Occupancy : INR 4750.00 per room per night. The rooms can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults. 3 rd person will be charged @1250
( this price includes complimentary breakfast )
Extra Meal (Lunch/dinner) : Veg INR 400.00 per person, Non-Veg INR 500 per person

* Kids from 5 - 10 years everything will be charged half, kids above 10 are charged as adults
* Cancellation Policy : One night rent charged for cancellations done less than 48 hrs. before the check in date. If cancelled 48 hours (2days) before the check in date, 95% of the amount will be refunded.
Yoga Package : INR 750 per day per person
No refunds in the case of NO SHOW.

For those who are interested, a vegetarian diet based on yogic requirements and comprising of natural and home made food will be provided at no extra cost. These include items such as coriander water, garlic, honey, pepper, moringa, turmeric ,garcinia ,curry leaf powder, 'karumjeerakam', ( black caraway powder ) green tea with cinnamon, virgin coconut and virgin olive oil, as well as walnut, almonds and dates - all of which are time tested with respect to their medicinal healing and immunity building properties.
Plantation Experience
The host will have an opportunity to get a hands on experience of a coffee plantation interplanted with coconut arecanut, oranges, avacado, mangosteen, rambuttan, jackfruit and lime .The host will be accompanied and guided by the plantation caretaker.

Chembra Peak
It take a day to climb and trek to the peak and back. There is a freshwater lake a top the mountain. One needs permission to trek these parts which can be obtained at mepaddi. Aguide will accompany the tourist.
